Terms and Conditions for Accomate Housing

1. Introduction

Welcome to Accomate, a disability housing and support-seeking search platform. By using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please review them carefully.

2. User Responsibilities

2.1 Accuracy of Information: Users are responsible for ensuring that all information provided in their postings is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. Accomate is not responsible for any inaccuracies or omissions in user postings. Users are to use due diligence when contacting prospective employees or housing providers; Accomate does not verify the role status, identity, verifications or genuinity of accommodations.

2.2 Compliance with Laws: Users must comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using Accomate. This includes, but is not limited to, disability acts, housing laws, anti-discrimination laws, and privacy laws. NDIS / ICWA regulations might also apply.

2.3 Content Ownership: Users retain ownership of the content they post on Accomate. However, by posting content, users grant Accomate a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute the content in connection with the operation of the platform.

3. Posting Guidelines

3.1 Prohibited Content: Users may not post content that is illegal, offensive, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate. This includes, but is not limited to, content that promotes discrimination, violence, or harassment. You may be subjected to Australian and International law for any violations intended or unintended.

3.2 Removal of Postings: Accomate reserves the right to remove any posting without notice if it violates these terms and conditions or if the free or paid period or promotion for the posting has ended.

3.3 Responsibility for Postings: Users are solely responsible for the content of their postings. Accomate does not endorse or verify the accuracy of any user postings.

3.4 Postings Approval: The admin will approve postings made by registered users within 24 hrs on the next working day. For free users, there might be a delay in approval as it is not automated. if your listing has not came online please feelfree to email info@accomate.com.au

3.5 Changes Requested: The chages requested for listing (changing the category to limited) might take 2-3 working days.

3.6 Account Limitation: Listings will only be approved according to the package you have chosen, If it’s the right package and is not approved, please contact us at info@accomate.com.au

4. Payment and Fees

4.1 Free and Paid Postings: Accomate offers both free and paid posting options. The terms and conditions for each option will be clearly stated at the time of posting. The free, paid, and priority listings are time-bound, and each will be communicated from time to time on the website and in the email communication.

4.2 Refunds: All payments should be made in Advance. Usually, there will be no refunds for paid postings; each of those requests will be viewed individually and provided at the discretion of Accomate. Users should be aware that there will be no refunds made once teh advertisements or posting goes online, and if of any doubts should seek a clear understanding of the refund policy before making a payment.

4.2 Chages in the listing/membership model/cost: If there are chages in the cost structure, old pricings will be validated for one year for those who have chosen such a package. Promotions and offers are subject to change; Accomate cannot guarantee price structure as promotions might run occasionally.

4.4 Promotions: Promotions might run from time to time and will be different; whoever has signed on for a promotion will be validated for the time and promotion setting.

4.5 Subscription: Subscription (for accomodations) cancellations are allowed; subscription cancellation takes one full working day to effect. No refunds will be provided for people who cancel for a paid service, which is active.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

5.1 Privacy Policy: Accomate is committed to protecting the privacy of its users. Please review our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

5.2 Data Security: Accomate implements reasonable security measures to protect user data. However, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

6. Limitation of Liability

6.1 No Warranty: Accomate provides its services “as is” and without any warranty or guarantee. We do not warrant that the platform will be error-free or uninterrupted.

6.2 Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Accomate shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform.

7. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Accomate reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Users will be notified of any changes, and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised terms

8. Additional Terms and Conditions for the Accommodate Platform used for employment:

  1. Platform Purpose:
    • Accommodate serves as a public platform for users to post requests for support, job opportunities, or services.
    • The platform is not responsible for the content of any posts or the accuracy of the information provided therein.
  2. Responsibility:
    • Job seekers are required to directly liaise with job posters regarding opportunities. Accommodate does not verify or endorse the authenticity of any job posts and will not be liable for any claims arising from them.
    • Service seekers and recipients must independently carry out due diligence to ensure the legitimacy and suitability of the services they seek or provide.
  3. Legal Compliance:
    • Before engaging in any employment, a legally binding employment contract or agreement must be established in compliance with applicable state and federal laws.
  4. Platform Usage:
    • Accommodate does not employ staff to offer direct support or services. It is solely a platform for users to register and connect.
    • By registering, your name and email address will be visible to the public domain. If you wish to have your information removed, you may contact us; however, removal does not prevent those who previously accessed the website from retaining your information.
  5. Disclaimer:
    • Accommodate is not liable for any direct or indirect issues arising from the use of the platform.
